Wear pants, covered shoes (preferably with a heel), water bottle, a lunch and snack, change of clothes to go in the creek, water shoes, and sunscreen.
Campers arrive at 8:30 and draw with chalk during a morning devotional and briefing. Then they feed and take care of the animals. Afterwards, the campers learn how to groom, tack up, and ride a horse. Lunch happens right after the horse activities, then the campers work on an art project. We head to the creek and spend time exploring and swimming in it. Lastly, the campers enjoy time to finish up any art projects and work on their archery skills.

Horses communicate primarily through body language and look for this same method of communication in their leaders. Participants of EALD learn to shift their focus from self-centered to horse-centered as they learn the “foreign” language of the horse and all that their body language communicates. This creates a more observant, aware, and authentic leader.
