At Beulah Ranch, we believe in the transformative power of equine-assisted leadership development. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes, our ranch offers a sanctuary for professionals seeking to unlock their leadership potential and foster meaningful connections with our gentle equine partners. We’re redefining leadership development through the wisdom of horses.
The name “Beulah” holds deep significance for us, as it reflects our belief that humans are inherently connected to nature. Derived from the Hebrew word meaning “to be married” or “to be in a relationship,” Beulah symbolizes our innate bond with the natural world. At Beulah Ranch, we embrace the idea that being in nature is not just a recreational activity but a fundamental aspect of our existence. We believe that humans were created to roam the open fields, breathe in the fresh air, and connect with the earth and its creatures. It is in these natural settings that we find solace, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Through our programs, we strive to reconnect individuals with the wisdom of the outdoors, tapping into the inherent harmony and balance that nature offers.
Our mission is to empower individuals to lead with authenticity, empathy, and resilience. Through experiential learning, guided by expert facilitators and our herd of equine companions, we create a supportive environment where participants can evolve, grow, and thrive as leaders.
Our approach involves introspection and a willingness to examine one’s thoughts, emotions, and actions with honesty and openness. Through self- reflection, individuals gain insights into their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth, empowering them to become more self-aware and effective leaders.
Personal growth and transformation take time. We approach each interaction with calmness, compassion, and a willingness to listen, allowing individuals to progress at their own pace.
For us, honor means staying true to our values, even when faced with challenges or temptations. It involves acting with honesty, transparency, and accountability, earning the trust and respect of those we serve.
Respect means honoring the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, whether human or equine. We treat each person with kindness, empathy, and understanding, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
EQ means understanding and managing our own emotions, as well as recognizing and empathizing with the emotions of others. We help individuals develop their emotional intelligence skills, equipping them to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics with grace and empathy.

David has an extensive background in counseling and leadership, developing successful teams in a variety of settings. Having gained a great deal from studying leadership in fiction and non-fiction books, seminars, retreats, and positions of leadership in which to apply what he learned, David still found areas in which his leadership skills would benefit from improvement.
Over 15 years ago, horses became a part of his family’s life. David recognized that these impressive creatures could teach him a great deal about developing rapport and earning mutual trust. As he experienced the impact of horses in his family, and in his relationships he began to see how utilizing lessons learned from them could help other leaders.
Our Team is honoured to share what these horses have to offer.
