Frequently Asked Questions

What is Equine-Assisted Leadership Development?

Equine Assisted Leadership Development (EALD) is a type of experiential learning and development program that involves interactions between individuals and horses to enhance leadership skills and qualities. This approach utilizes the natural behavior and responses of horses as a mirror to human behavior, providing valuable insights into leadership styles, communication patterns, emotional intelligence, and teamwork.

Why horses?

Horses communicate primarily through body language and look for this same method of communication in their leaders. Participants of EALD learn to shift their focus from self-centered to horse-centered as they learn the "foreign" language of the horse and all that their body language communicates. This creates a more observant, aware, and authentic leader

What can I expect during an EALD session?

Participants will be briefed on general horse safety and given initial instructions on the activities. Then they will enter the pasture with our select group of horses to experience the activity. Afterwards, we will process what was experienced individually and collectively. A catered lunch will be provided.

Who can benefit from EALD?

What should I wear/bring?

Wear pants and covered shoes/boots that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring water and sunscreen, if needed.

– Dr. Stephen, International Business Consultant

“The perception that we gain from these activities opens up a broader range of thinking, and possibly a broader way of dealing with problems that people may find within their organizations and dealing with different and diverse people. The concept you have here is unique as its realization will actually instill a different interpretation of a business, and platforms.”

-RAYMOND, Founder and CEO of Career Images, Consultant, Speaker, Author

"Jen's a good facilitator. She is very authentic. She left voids for us to step into. This gave us the opportunity to step up..., and we did. We figured out how to get results as a group."

-KELLY, Motivational Speaker, Author, Former Miss Canada International

"My entire person was engaged in this experience. I was using my mind, and my heart to think critically outside of my box - how I typically react to the world."
